About Us

Lake City Sports is owned by Bob and Heather Curry. Growing up in our local community, we experienced firsthand the absence of a dedicated space for baseball practice during the off-season. That's why, over the last five years, we took the initiative to provide batting cages in our garage, initially intended for our towing company's use. However, our commitment to supporting our fellow athletes led us to open these facilities to anyone in the area, completely free of charge.

During this time, our awareness grew as we witnessed the transformative impact of a professional training facility located about three hours away. It became evident just how beneficial such a space could be for ballplayers in our region. Inspired by this realization, we embarked on a journey to bring a similar facility to our own community, and the result is Lake City Sports Club.

Our area boasts incredible talent, but our unpredictable weather restricts the time athletes have for practice to just a few fleeting months. In previous years, players struggled to shake off the winter rust before the season started. However, this year marked a significant change. With Lake City Sports Club opening its doors in January, local ballplayers had the opportunity to work on their hitting and pitching skills earlier than ever before. The results were evident on the field as our athletes demonstrated improved performance when the season kicked off.
